The musicians in this quartet have all performed and recorded with each other in different formations over the years. The desire to create music together and to develop repertoire for this particular line-up grew stronger and has been finally put into practice. In June 2006 they recorded a cd in Oslo which will be released in 2007.

Claudio Puntin is one of the leading clarinet players around in Europe today working both in the classical and the improvised music scene. He has won several prizes and appears on many cd's both as a leader and sideman. Hermeto Pascoal, Jim Black, Dave Douglas, Nils Wogram and Jay Anderson are some of the artists he performed with. Claudio is also composed music for film and documtaries.

After his studies in Trondheim, Mats Eilertsen started his career performing in Europe and the U.S.A. with regular groups such as Food, Parish and the Jakob Young Band and with a.o. Kenny Wheeler, Pat Metheny, Nils Petter Molvær, John Taylor, Christian Wallumrød and Ernst Reijziger. Mats is regarded as one of the most talented bass players now around in Norway.

Samuel Rohrer is a versatile and inventive drummer who is moving around in the most diverse musical areas. He received his professional education in Bern and at Berkeley College in Boston. Samuel has been recording and touring through Europe with artists such as Malcolm Braff, Erik Truffaz, Marcus Stockhausen, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Arild Andersen and Hal Crook. He has recently founded his own trio called TREE with whom he released a cd.
